Riverdale Star Lili Reinhart Has Important Message For Fans After Scary Airport Incident

Riverdale star Lili Reinhart is giving fans a stern warning after she endured a frightening experience over the weekend as she was leaving the airport.

In a Twitter message, the 22-year-old recalled landing at the airport and being ushered by someone that she thought was a professional service driver to a car. However, as she got closer to the vehicle, the actress noticed there were no signs of it being an Uber, car service or legit taxi cab.

PSA: I was just ushered to a car by someone posing to be an airport cab/Uber driver. I got to his car and there were absolutely no signs that he was a professional service driver. So I did NOT get into the car.

Please pay attention and make smart decisions out there.

The blonde beauty trusted her gut instinct that something was wrong and did not get into the vehicle. Reinhart was shaken up by the experience, so she decided to use it as a PSA for her fans via Twitter. The actress wanted to remind her followers’ safety is the number one priority.

“Please pay attention and make smart decisions out there. Seriously please be careful out there. You don’t have to be nice or worry about being rude. Trust your gut. It could save you,” the CW starlet expressed to her fans.

Her message was flooded with comments expressing how thrilled users were that she is safe. Several people thanked Reinhart for the reminder. One Uber driver used the post to reiterate to people they need to have drivers verify the ride before getting in a vehicle.

“Glad you’re okay. I’m an Uber driver, and I always verify my passenger’s name when I pick them up and give them my name to verify that I’m the driver they are waiting for,” Tweeted Jesse Lunsford.

Lili Reinhart’s airport experience is not uncommon or unusual. It seems every day there is a story involving someone getting hurt after assuming a car picking them up was an official Uber, Lyft or taxi cab driver.

The official account for Uber even replied to her Tweet sharing their thanks for the reminder, as well as letting people know the company’s official policy and some safety tips for riders before they embark on a trip.

“Hey Lili, Thanks for sharing this PSA. We agree and recommend these tips to help check your ride and ensure you get in the right car,” read the Uber Tweet.
