The 1993 Mazda FX-7 RD is a pretty rare car and isn’t seen much. It has a 2+2 seater coupe with a 2-seater option and features a sequentially turbocharged 13B REW engine.

This car has a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic mode of transmission. Its dimensions include:

  • A wheelbase of 2,446 mm (96.3 in)
  • A length of 4,285 mm (168.7 in)
  • A width of 1,760 mm (69.3 in)
  • A height of 1,230 mm (48.4 in)
  • A curb weight of 1,218–1,340 kg (2,685–2,954 lb)
  • While this model is not in production anymore, Mazda has made several references to start the manufacturing of the RX-7 in some capacity, as the RX-8 has been discontinued. Currently, the cost of an RX-7 is $30,000.

Vinnie was inspired to buy this car and model after ‘Initial-D’. He said that it was inspired by Keisuke’s RD, which is similar to Vinnie’s car.

In August 2021, automobile enthusiast and YouTuber Rob Dahm tested the Drag Radials of his car against this car of Vinnie. Vinnie won the competition:
